Icam students at WYD in Lisbon

A delegation of Icam students is planning to travel to World Youth Day (WYD), which takes place from 25 July to 6 August in Lisbon, Portugal. They will meet young people from all over the world and share their faith in a festive, cosmopolitan and warm atmosphere.
More specifically, 12 Icam students have signed up for the Magis International Route 2023, and have received financial support from the school to take part in this personal and collective adventure. The Magis International Route departs from Toulouse on 21 July for Lisbon and the World Youth Day on 31 July. During this journey, participants are invited to take part in Experiences, in the same way as those taken by students on the Icam integrated course between the 3rd and 4th year of their studies.
These experiences are varied (art and culture, faith and spirituality, ecology, social commitment, pilgrimage) and spread geographically across Portugal and Spain. The young people will then gather in Lisbon for the Festival of Nations, a festive time shared with all the MAGIS WYD pilgrims, with a Mass on 31 July, the feast of St Ignatius, with Fr Arturo Sosa, Superior General of the Society of Jesus. This will be followed by the WYD itself, with all the young people present in Lisbon.
In early August, Icam is planning a special celebration for all the Icam students taking part in the WYD – between 130 and 150 of them!

Une délégation d’élèves Icam prévoit de se rendre aux Journées Mondiales de la Jeunesse (JMJ), qui se déroulent du 25 juillet au 6 août à Lisbonne, au Portugal. Ils vont, à ce titre, rencontrer des jeunes du monde entier, et partager leur foi dans un élan festif, cosmopolite et chaleureux.
12 élèves Icam, plus spécifiquement, se sont inscrits à la Route Internationale Magis 2023, et ont été soutenus financièrement par l’école pour vivre cette aventure à la fois personnelle et collective. La Route Internationale Magis part de Toulouse le 21 juillet, pour rejoindre Lisbonne et les JMJ le 31 juillet. Les participants, lors de ce parcours, sont invités à vivre des Expériments, à la manière de ceux que vivent les élèves du parcours intégré de l’Icam, entre la 3e et 4e année d’études.
Ces expériments sont variés (art et culture, foi et spiritualité, écologie, engagement social, pèlerinage) et répartis géographiquement au Portugal et en Espagne. Les jeunes se rassembleront ensuite à Lisbonne pour le festival des nations, un temps festif partagé avec tous les pèlerins des JMJ MAGIS, avec le 31 juillet, fête de la St Ignace, une messe avec le P. Arturo Sosa, supérieur général de la Compagnie de Jésus. Viendra ensuite le temps des JMJ proprement dites, avec tous les jeunes présents à Lisbonne.
L’Icam prévoit, dans les premiers jours d’août, une célébration spécifique réunissant tous les Icam participant aux JMJ, qui seront entre 130 et 150 !
