Jérôme Labarre, new Director of Icam West

Jérôme Labarre took over as director of Icam West on November 1, 2025, overseeing our campuses in Nantes, Vannes, and La Roche-sur-Yon, for a 5-year term.

In line with Icam’s values, Jérôme Labarre explains his ambitions: “We have an extraordinary mission: to participate in educating young people so they become responsible actors in tomorrow’s world. I am committed to ensuring this approach aligns us with ongoing ecological and societal transitions, while better meeting the expectations of new generations.” He adds: “Icam West has also embarked on a particularly inspiring transformation project, the ‘Opale’ project, which aims to make teams autonomous for greater professional fulfillment and a more agile organization, in tune with the uncertainties we face.”

A rich and multidisciplinary professional background

A graduate of AgroParisTech, holding a DEA in statistical modeling and a specialization from CNAM (in industrial refrigeration), Jérôme Labarre has built a rich career in the food industry and water treatment sector, successively holding positions in project management, sales management, and general management. Both in France and internationally, within SMEs and large corporations, he gained solid operational experience before moving into education in 2021. Since September 2023, he served as Director of Studies for the Student Status Engineering Program (FISE) at the Nantes campus, where he oversaw program implementation and individualized student support.

“We identified Jérôme’s potential from the moment we recruited him for the already strategic position of Director of Studies for the student status engineering program. We are delighted to welcome him today to this position as Director of Icam West,” stated Gilles Vandecaveye, General Director of Icam, and Carole Marsella, Deputy General Director of Icam.

Alongside his professional career, Jérôme Labarre has been involved for many years with high school and university students. He notably volunteers at youth camps, where he handles counselor recruitment and training, designs educational programs, and participates in logistical organization.
