Une première rentrée décalée pour ouvrir les portes des études d’ingénieur aux bacheliers

L’Icam propose en janvier une rentrée décalée pour son cycle préparatoire “Bachelor international”. Cette initiative mise en place sur ses campus de Grand Paris Sud et Nantes, offre une opportunité unique aux bacheliers de rejoindre une formation d’ingénieur de premier plan en cours d’année, et donc après le début de l’année universitaire classique.
Cette rentrée décalée pour le cycle préparatoire « Bachelor international », prévue pour le 13 janvier 2025, s’adresse aux élèves titulaires d’un bac technologique STI2D, STL ou d’un bac général avec au moins 1 spécialité scientifique (maths ou physique), obtenu en 2023 ou 2024, qu’ils soient ou non inscrits actuellement dans un cursus post-bac.
Elle ouvre la voie vers les cycles d’ingénieurs généralistes de l’Icam, accessibles sous statut étudiant ou en apprentissage.
L’originalité de ce programme réside dans son approche inclusive : il accueille aussi bien les étudiants déjà engagés dans un cursus post-bac que ceux en quête d’une réorientation, “et permet donc de ne pas perdre une année“, comme l’indique Carole Marsella, Directrice générale déléguée, au micro de Studyrama.
Avec 20 places disponibles (10 par campus), cette initiative représente une véritable seconde chance pour les étudiants désireux d’embrasser une carrière d’ingénieur.
Les candidatures sont ouvertes jusqu’au 6 janvier 2025, directement auprès de l’Icam sur ce lien.
Les élèves sélectionnés bénéficieront de deux semaines intensives de préparation, leur permettant d’intégrer harmonieusement la promotion en cours.
Cette démarche de l’Icam témoigne de son engagement à rendre l’excellence académique accessible à un plus large éventail d’étudiants, tout en répondant aux besoins croissants en ingénieurs qualifiés sur le marché du travail.

Icam is offering, in January, a staggered start to the academic year for its “International Bachelor” preparatory cycle. This initiative, implemented on the Grand Paris Sud and Nantes campuses, offers a unique opportunity for baccalaureate holders to join a leading engineering program during the course of the year, and therefore after the start of the traditional academic year.
This postponed start date for the “International Bachelor” preparatory cycle, scheduled for January 13, 2025, is aimed at students with an STI2D or STL technological baccalaureate, or a general baccalaureate with at least 1 scientific specialization (math or physics), obtained in 2023 or 2024, whether or not they are currently enrolled in a post-baccalaureate course.
It paves the way for Icam’s general engineering cycles, which are accessible through student status or en apprenticeships.
The originality of this program lies in its inclusive approach: it welcomes students already enrolled in a post-baccalaureate course as well as those looking for a change of direction, “so as not to lose a year“, says Carole Marsella, Deputy Managing Director of Icam, speaking to Studyrama.
With 20 places available (10 per campus), this initiative represents a real second chance for students wishing to embark on an engineering career.

The students selected will benefit from two weeks of intensive preparation, enabling them to integrate smoothly into the current intake and not lose a year.
This move by Icam demonstrates its commitment to making academic excellence accessible to a wider range of students, while meeting the growing need for qualified engineers on the job market.
