International Programs

These are the main programs you could apply to :

Erasmus learning programs

ERASMUS learning programs cover semesters 5, 6, 7 and 8. You can find below the syllabus, with the ECTS credits.

Be aware that not all the courses are available in each semester : once you have found the courses you wish to take, you should check with the international office.

You are also welcome to take a scientific and technical project in semester 9 or 10  in one of our scientific departments (for 30 credits) . Be aware that this project is a full time project (18 weeks or 700H) and is based on an applied research project linked to a contract with a company. This project is carried out in pairs under the supervision of a professor in the following departments : Automation, Computer Science, Materials, Mechanics, Fluid Mechanics, Industrial Management.

You may also spend one semester in a company (internship).

This last program can only be taken by students who have already spent one semester on an other program at ICAM.

Semester 5 begins early September and ends in December (or January at Lille), as well as semester 9 (ending in January) ; semester 6 begins either in January (Nantes and Toulouse), or in February (Lille), ends in April. Semester 7 begins around September the 15th, ends in January ; semester 8 in February, as well as semester 10 (both ending in june).

Summer Program

A European Summer program in Toulouse, located in the South West of France, right in the heart of the aeronautical industry territory. The program was initially designed for engineering students.

The full program lasts 8 weeks : 4 weeks to take French classes, to become better acquainted with Europe, its traditions and institutions, the differences between European countries and their ways of life and to have a taste of French engineering studies (for those who take engineering at home), plus 4 weeks of internship in local industry.

Master in Railroad Engineering

We offer a one-year program specialized in the field of Railway Engineering, designed for students with a technical and scientific background (Master’s Degree level). This program is offered on the campus of Lille, in the northern part of France (one hour from Paris and Brussels, 2 hours from London).

The main topics are :

  • Railway environment ;
  • Operation : infrastructure and networks ;
  • Production and maintenance of the rolling stock ;
  • On board computers and information management ;
  • Traction and braking ;
  • Bodies and bogies ;
  • Incorporation of equipment ;
  • Project management (more information to download).

Admission is based on Transcripts of grades and diploma certificates, letters of recommendation and a handwritten cover letter.
